Some cannot stand white text on black, however, it has been shown to be irritating. I mean, gray text on black is better - but, a great many people don't like black themes, no matter what - while another great many don't care. However, a minority likes only black themes.
O.K. one color combo that's hard to read is grey text on white - and I have seen that on themes. It looks like ghost writing - lol.
